Week 8

* = Possible captain

Tom Brady* –   Brady is quietly putting on a solid year in terms of fantasy numbers. He is currently ranked as a low end QB1 on points per game basis. There hasn’t been a single game where he has not thrown a TD. In fact, in 4 out of 7 games this season, he has actually thrown for 3 or more TDs. He is also coming off a red-hot performance against LV last week with 5 TDs, 369 yards, 37 fantasy points and the QB #3 ranking on the week. Tonight, he gets another favorable matchup in New York Giants with an o/u of 44.5 points and where they are favorite by more than 12.5 points.

Ronald Jones* – Rojo should be in line for a great game tonight. He has scored a TD or more in each of his last 2 games where he was the primary and the goal line back. Now Fournette might be back in the line-up this week but that shouldn’t affect Jones too much. As mentioned before, with an o/u of 44.5 points and Bucs being 12.5 point favorite, expect them to get up early and then run the ball as much as possible to take the time off the clock. NY Giants have also allowed the 10th most points scored against them including Boston Scott last week where he went off 16.70 fantasy points

Wayne Gallman – With Devonte Freeman unlikely to play this game, Gallman should be their primary back. Although Bucs aren’t a great matchup for opposing RBs, he should have a safe floor with the volume he will be giving. He is also their primary receiving back catching in all his 5 targets last week for 14 yards. If they do get down early, expect Gallman to be in the game most of the time when they are trying to come back from behind

Mike Evans* – Evans has been a boom or bust WR and that is directly corresponding to when Godwin is in the line up vs when he is out. This week Godwin is declared out and that would mean that Evans should see enough volume. With Godwin in the line-up, Evans averages 3 targets but with Godwin out, he averages 9 targets per game. His has also caught at least 1 TD in each of those games and finished as also WR #5, 6 and 25 without Godwin. He is the best WR on both sides in the game today and should have a very safe floor.

Scotty Miller – As mentioned, Tom Brady is been on fire recently and with Godwin out, that only leaves with Miller and Evans as their 2 primary WRs. Miller is also coming off a monster game last week with 9 targets, 6 receptions, 109 yards and 1 TD with 20 fantasy point and the WR#7 finish on the week. This week he gets another favorable matchup in NY Giants and with those volumes he should be able to produce again.

Sterling Shepard – In his first game back last week after a 4-game absence, he already picked up where he left off with 8 targets, 6 receptions, 59 yards and 1 TD against Philadelphia. The Bucs defense would be a little more challenging this week but if they do get down early, they will need to throw the ball to someone. He is in the WR3 category this week but if he catches a TD, he can easily finish in the mid to high WR2 range.

Rob Gronkowski – Gronk seems like his old self in the last 2 games. In both those games, he has 8 targets, at least 62 receiving yards and 1 TD ranking as the #6 and #2 TE on the week respectively.  On the other hand, NY Giants defense is coming off allowing Richard Rodgers 6 receptions for 85 yards last week.
